21st Annual “No Dinner-Dinner” To benefit The Help Center
What’s better than a “No Dinner-Dinner”? Great News! There really is a dinner. One of our all time favorite restaurants, Rucker John’s, has generously donated the grand prize for this fund-raiser. The winner will receive a 3 course dinner for two.
The fund-raiser for The Help Center of Federal Point will be held on Sunday, Oct 29, 2017. Not sure what the “No Dinner – Dinner” is? Well, it is an event that all busy people can appreciate. You save money by not buying a new dress or renting a tux or even paying a babysitter. A night out like that could probably cost you $200, instead you get to stay home and relax, with a chance to win our grand prize.
All kidding aside, by not having the expense of putting on a fancy affair, all the money raised can go to those in need. Your donation of $10.00 will not only save you money but in so many ways enable the Help Center to continue to serve the community with food, gas, utilities, bus vouchers, and clothing assistance without cost to the recipients.
Here are some of the Help Centers numbers for 2016:
- 4,191 – number of individuals served.
- 117 – Christmas Baskets delivered. (each basket provided enough food for a week).
