PROJECT AGAPE and OUR SHOEBOX GIFTS:
The North Carolina Conference Missions Team has been sending Christmas boxes to children in Armenia through Project AGAPE for years—something imitated, but not duplicated, by other organizations. This year, they will send those, along with other much-needed items, over to Armenia in late November. Project AGAPE has new headquarters in Vayk, Armenia, and is ministering to persons who have lost their homes due to the recent conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh. We need a concerted effort to help those refugees by donating items not readily available in that part of Armenia. The items include:
- Christmas boxes for children and youth
- Pots and pans
- Comforters
- New shoes (old shoes, no matter the condition, cannot be shipped)
- New clothing for young teens (old clothes cannot be shipped)
- Sheets, towels, and other similar items
- Menstrual hygiene kits
- Health kits (no toothpaste)
Please bring your items to the donation center in Miller Hall. Visit the Outreach Ministry website for the latest updates. For questions, please contact Bill Haddock at 910-262-3831 or revbillh@nccumc.org.
