Founded by local ministers and residents of Pleasure Island in 1985, the center was established to help meet growing needs of citizens in the community. The name “H.E.L.P Center” stands for “help establish love for all people.”
Since its creation, the Federal Point Help Center has grown leaps and bounds.
Once interviewing clients in their homes and making direct food deliveries, and later tucked in space at the Carolina Beach Recreation Center, The Federal Point Help Center is located at 7 N. 3rd St. in Carolina Beach.
