The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at UNCW is a university-led and member-supported organization that provides lifelong learning opportunities. OLLI at UNCW focuses on adults aged 50 and older in the southeastern North Carolina region, through educational and experiential programming, connecting the adult and university communities.
This is achieved through:
- Fostering a high-quality, intellectually stimulating curricula centered on programs developed and led by university faculty, fellow OLLI members and others throughout the region.
- Sustaining a positive, open environment that offers respect for sharing ideas and perspectives where people feel valued.
- Connecting the university and lifelong learning community by serving as a gateway to university events and creating opportunities for involvement in teaching, research and service.
- Partnering with area organizations to support the mission of OLLI.
