St Paul’s UMC is very proud of our music programs. We have two very distinct sounds and ministries.
The early service praise group, recently named “Harper Avenue“, is providing music leadership for the casual worship service.
Combining a mixture of current praise music with older hymns and classic songs, “Harper Avenue” seeks to be bridge from the old to the new. If interested in participating, contact Curtis Campbell at 910-619-0836
The adult choir generally leads the congregation in music sung at the 11:00 AM service. It consists of men and women singing in four parts -alto, soprano, tenor & bass. Presently we have an ensemble group for both men and women. Cantatas for both Easter and Christmas are presented by the choir annually.
This is a volunteer group and participants are not required to read music but must have the ability to hear music tones in key. Interested people should contact Sue Turnage (262-2682 or www.knnthbrnc@aol.com ) for a brief audition to determine placement.
In addition, we have regular performances by soloists, quartets and duet groups.
