The Warming Shelter

The Warming Shelter ILM has opened out of the extreme need for a cold weather shelter in the Wilmington community. Thanks to Rev. Meg McBride (Hope Recovery NFC at Devon Park) and Rev. Randy Evans (The Feast Gathering), a group of 25+ people sheltered with cots, blankets, hot supper and breakfast two nights and two mornings. This kind of shelter is desperately needed AND requires many hands on short notice (24-48 hours). This shelter is not new, but the name/brand is and we are getting it re-organized.
To this end, this shelter needs the support of our full community! I know not all of you are located in downtown Wilmington. I know some of you may support similar causes with your gifts.
PLEASE HELP
Join one of two Warming Shelter information sessions/ orientations on Zoom on Monday, Jan. 17th at 6:30pm and again on Thursday, Jan. 20th at 9:30am (see link below) where we can meet, learn, ask questions and begin to organize our efforts.
